An orientation on AFP, measles, and VPD surveillance was successfully held at the Monno Medical College Hospital Conference Room on Thursday, 2 July 2026.
The program was attended by Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Karim, principal of Monno Medical College; Brigadier General Dr. Zulfiquer Ahmed Amin, director of Monno Medical College Hospital; Dr. Ivy Ferdous, civil surgeon, Manikganj; Dr. Ishita Farha, WHO representative; the district EPI officer; along with the hospital’s consultants, physicians, intern doctors, nurses, and administrative officials.
The orientation focused on strengthening surveillance, timely reporting, and coordinated efforts for acute flaccid paralysis (AFP), measles, and vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs).
