Department of Anatomy
Dr. Rawshon Ara is a dedicated academic and skilled clinician, currently serving as an assistant professorĀ in the Department of Anatomy at Monno Medical College, where she joined in 2022. At Monno Medical College, she has established a solid foundation in anatomy education and research, contributing actively to both undergraduate teaching and departmental development. She obtained her MBBS degree from Shaheed Monsur Ali Medical College and later earned her MPhil in Anatomy from Sir Salimullah Medical College, Dhaka. Dr. Ara began her teaching career as an Assistant Professor (CC) in the Department of Anatomy at Ashiyan Medical College. Her research work focuses on dermatoglyphic patterns in leukemic children, comparing them with those of healthy children to explore possible correlations between dermatoglyphic traits and hematological disorders.
In addition to her academic career, Dr. Ara possesses over ten years of clinical experience in ultrasonography (USG). She is highly proficient in fetal anomaly scanning using 4D USG, color Doppler studies, transvaginal sonography (TVS), and breast ultrasonography, contributing significantly to diagnostic imaging and prenatal care. Through her dedication to both teaching and clinical practice, Dr. Rawshon Ara continues to inspire her students and colleagues, exemplifying excellence in medical education and applied anatomy.
