Department of Ophthalmology (Eye)

The Department of Ophthalmology at Monno Medical College is committed to delivering high-quality education and training in eye health, vision care, and ocular surgery. The department provides a strong academic foundation alongside practical clinical exposure, enabling students to understand and manage a wide range of eye disorders and diseases.

Aligned with the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) curriculum, the department offers both theoretical and practical instruction, ensuring students gain essential competencies in ophthalmic evaluation and treatment.

  • Surgical Observation: Students observe common ophthalmic surgeries, such as cataract extraction and pterygium excision, enhancing their understanding of operative techniques and postoperative care.
  • Interactive Learning: Regular seminars, case presentations, and visual demonstrations help students integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical application.
