Following the directives of the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), Monno Medical College organized a Dengue and Chikungunya awareness rally on September 9, 2026, to promote public awareness and encourage preventive measures.
The rally started from the college campus and proceeded to the Dhaka–Aricha Highway. Awareness messages were broadcast through microphones, and leaflets were distributed among the general public to highlight the importance of preventing Dengue and Chikungunya.
The rally was attended by Principal Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Karim, Vice-Principal Prof. Dr. Borhan Uddin Ahmed, Phase-3 Coordinator and Head of the Department of Pathology Prof. Dr. A. S. M. Mahmudul Hasan, Chairman of the Medical Education Unit (MEU) Prof. Dr. Md. Bazlul Karim Chowdhury, Head of the Department of Biochemistry Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Maqsudul Haque, Head of the Department of Community Medicine and Public Health, along with heads of various departments, teachers, doctors, officers, staff, and students.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about Dengue and Chikungunya prevention and promote a clean, healthy environment.
