About

Monno Medical College & Hospital (MoMC&H) is an absolutely non-profitable concern of Monno Welfare Foundation, established in 2011. Former Chairman H.R Khan Monno, the founder of the institution, who dreamed of a quality medical college and advanced healthcare services, keeping in mind especially for the underprivileged people of the Manikganj district and neighboring areas.

Monno Medical College & Hospital (MoMC&H) is located at Monno city, Gilondo, Manikganj. The academic building is facilitated with a ten storied building having a total floor space of 1, 46,166 sq.ft. with three spacious lifts. The area of college campus is more than 13 acres of land out of which 7.29 acres have been registered in the name of Monno Medical College & Hospital (Reg. Deed No.: 2508 Date-15/10/2009, Mouza Name: Rathora, RS Khatian No.: 412, 89, 840 & others, RS Dag No.: 1203, 1201, 1200 & others, Mutation khatian No.: 761/2009-10). A lake inside the campus has made it a visually lucrative place for all.

The aim of the institute is to teach selected male & female students for five academic years according to the syllabus of Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC) for MBBS degree to be deliberated by Dhaka University and then impart training of closely administered internship for one year to create highly competent doctors for the country and world.

The institute is recognized by WHO (World Health Organization). It is also recognized by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC) and affiliated with the University of Dhaka (DU).

The College has two different hostels for boys & girls with standard facilities and in-house gymnasium. It has a well-designed and enriched library. The institute has full time dedicated, highly qualified and efficient faculties and doctors whose purpose is to provide quality medical education to the students, selected according to the government procedure.

Since 2015, the college publishes bi-annual, peer reviewed journal, recognized by the BM&DC and registered in ISSN register. The college has a well-developed Medical Education Unit (MEU) which provide training to the faculty members to develop teaching and research skills.

Every year the college reserves 85 seats for admission of students willing to pursue their MBBS course. As of 2024, Monno Medical College (MoMC) now holds 482 medical students, ongoing with MBBS curriculum.

To provide need based training to the doctors, nurses and other health allied personnel’s.

To provide training to develop professional competencies to undertake research activities.

To create environment for post-graduate training & studies.

To provide treatment and other health care services to the peoples with affordable expenses.
